Art Gene is awarding one (Inter)national Collaborative Fellowship in 2008/09. Artists are invited to submit their application email as an attachment (send images in jpeg format) to artgeneopps@btconnect.com. Please read the Application Guidelines carefully.
The residency must be completed before April 2009.
The deadline for submissions is Friday 26th September 2008.

Successful Applicants Will Be Awarded:

A 2-month, Research and Development Fellowship.

The Artist will work some of the time in collaboration and with the support of Art Gene’s Artist/Founders (Stuart Bastik and Maddi Nicholson) to explore and develop the relationship between their ideas and Art Gene’s research remit.

The successful applicant will spend the majority of their time focusing on the production of their own new work in response to Art Gene’s research remit:
‘the role(s) of artists in the regeneration of the social, natural and built environment’.
The Artist will be provided with 24 hour access to:

A spacious studio at Art Gene. (Studio 2).

Access to high quality office space and research facilities at Art Gene.

I.T. and office facilities.

A dedicated page on our website.

Art Gene has sourced low cost accommodation within walking distance of Art Gene, however accommodation costs and travel expenses are the responsibility of the Artist.
